The Purpose of Our Society is to:
- Honor and perpetuate the memory and spirit of the men and women who, by their acts and counsel, assisted in the establishment, defense, and preservation of the American Colonies;
- Collect and preserve records relative to the American Colonies:
- Promote historical research and the study of history and to commemorate the events of the American Colony Period between 1607 and 1775;
- Inspire patriotism and loyalty to our Country; and
- Foster a spirit of fellowship among the members of the Society.
We have about 20 members in New York State. Our work supports the various projects of our National Organization, including archaeological work at Jamestown, VA, the Virginia Historical Society, the Swem Library at the College of William and Mary, Cathedral of the Pines in Rindge, NH, and the US Military Academy at West Point.
